I beg to differ. "Mass Customization" is a misnomer. What my patent application describes is a way to integrate and scale the end to end process of developing manufacturing and distributing after market parts.
Stating the not so fucking obvious: if manufacturers were able to satisfy the wants of consumers simply by giving them a web site which only graphically describes the limitations available before the web, there wouldn't be a $30 Billion? $50 Bilion? annual market where people customize their cars. My plan was to take an already existing industry phenomenon and maximize the efficiency of the process raise the ROI.
My patent application had absolutely nothing to do with the supply chain process in the development and manufacture and sales of a new car.
